Korean Barbecued Beef

This is the last of the pre-packed and frozen meals that we took away with us. I think this was my favourite though. Teamed up with roasted onions and potatoes, it had a slightly sweet, smoky flavour that really appealed to me.

Korean Barbecued Beef

1kg beef flank steak
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup thinly sliced green onions
2 tablespoons Asian sesame oil
3 tablespoons sugar
3 cloves garlic, peeled and pressed or minced

Rinse beef and pat dry place in a large bowl.
Add soy, green onions, sesame oil, sugar, and garlic to bowl; mix to coat.
Cover and chill at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
Spread on an oiled grill over a bed of hot coals or high heat on a gas grill (you can hold your hand at grill level only 2 to 3 seconds); close lid on gas grill.
Cook, turning once, until cooked to your satisfaction.

40, on my way to 40 something...Still not sure what I want to do when I grow up, retire probably... Food obsessed, love to cook it, read about it, eat it... Chock full of useless information that crowds out the useful stuff sometimes.
